Douglas A. Palaschak, 60, of Streator, died on Wednesday May 13, 2009 in Streator.
Born May 8, 1949 in Streator he was the first born son of Richard
and Gladys (Durdan) Palaschak. He is survived by brothers, Jerome Palaschak of New Orleans and Gregory (Tammy) Palaschak of Kinsman;
sisters, Mary Jane (James) Pizzala of Pewaukee, WI., Teresa (James Budish) Italiano of Elm Grove, WI. and Julia (Abraham Adger)
Palaschak of Tampa, FL. His parents preceded him in death.
Douglas graduated from St. Patrick's grade school and Seneca High
School. He attended the University of Illinois where he earned a
degree in Agricultural Engineering. As a Professional Registered
Engineer, he worked for International Harvester and Hughes Tools. He
designed tools for oil exploration and traveled to Japan on the
offshore drilling vessel "Discover 534". He later earned his Law
degree from Southern California Institute of Law. He practiced law
in California and hosted his own website lawyerdude.8m.com where he
helped many people with their legal problems.
He returned to the area about two years ago. Doug appreciated all
things mechanical, especially cars, farm implements and trains. He
enjoyed country living, gardening, farming, a good debate and
crusading for the disadvantaged. Doug was loved and will be missed.
